Piazzale delle corporazioni: statio 19

On the floor of this statio was a large black mosaic with a white mosaic field under the colonnade depicting a sailing ship and a tabula ansata with the following text:
NAVIC(ulari) TURRITANI
The shipmasters of Turris
Although several cities had this name, here is meant Turris Libisonis (modern Porta Torres) on Sardinia.
This city was involved in the grain supply.
