JuliaHippo Diarrhytus (Tunesia)

Phoenician ship 500

Hippo Diarrhytus is the northernmost city of Tunisia. The name Hippo comes from the Punic word ûbôn, meaning 'harbour'. Later the name Diarrhytus, 'divided by water', was added, in reference to a large canal.

The skippers had an office on the Piazzale delle Corporazioni in Ostia (statio 12).
