Tomb 58Isola Sacra Menu

Tomb 58: behind tomb 58 (from left to right) tomb 57, 55, 56, 54 and 75.

Tomb 58 is located next to tomb 57 and has, like this grave, the entrance towards the north. Tomb 58 has survived up to a level of only about 1.30 metre.
The burial chamber measures 3 x 3,5 metres and was equipped with arcosolia in the side walls.
The entrance wall and the back wall have, however, small niches. Because of the absence of the upper walls it remains uncertain for what purpose these were used.
Some traces of a spiral line-motif in one of the arcosolia can still be seen.
There is no inscription.
Tomb 58 dates back to the second half of the second century AD.
